This fruit approx. 8-16 cm in diameter , may be symmetrically heart-shaped, lop-sided, or irregular; or nearly round, or oblate, with a deep or shallow depression at the base. The skin, thin but tough, has a lumpy green outer colour when ripe. The flesh is a thick, cream-white layer of custard like, somewhat granular in texture surrounding the moderately juicy segments. which contain seeds It can be broken in half easily, and the flesh which is sweet and pleasant tasting can eaten with a spoon, taking care to remove the black seeds. The main areas in Thailand growing this fruit are the north-central provinces of Phetchabun and Nakhon Ratchasima.,
