This delicious fragrant & aromatic fruit has a thick, purple skin, inside which has soft pulpy creamy white segments of flesh surrounding large seeds which are sweet and scented, slightly tart yet tasty flavour, and juicy.Southern Thailand, in particular the Surat Thani area, is the home of the mangosteen, and it tends to grow poorly outside its native areas. Generally, the more segments a mangosteen has, the fewer seeds one will find! Do be aware of juices staining your clothes when eating, as they are not wash-proof!,
